About Cellular Communication
This visualization demonstrates the key components of a cellular network:
- Base Stations (BS): Also known as cell towers, they provide network coverage to mobile stations within their range.
- Mobile Stations (MS): User devices like mobile phones that connect to the network. You can drag them around to see how connections change.
- Mobile Switching Center (MSC): Central system that manages call routing, handovers between cells, and connects to external networks.
Try moving the mobile stations around to see how they connect to different base stations based on proximity. The "Simulate Call" button shows how a call connects through the network infrastructure.
