Simulation Explanation

This simulation demonstrates how bandwidth limitations affect digital baseband transmission:

• Input Signal: A sequence of binary digits (0s and 1s) represented as a Non-Return-to-Zero (NRZ) waveform.
• Wide Bandwidth Channel: A low-pass channel with relatively high cutoff frequency, allowing most signal harmonics to pass through.
• Narrow Bandwidth Channel: A low-pass channel with a lower cutoff frequency, which filters out more harmonics.
• Received Signal: The output after a decision circuit that converts the analog signal back to digital based on a threshold.

Key observations:

• Narrower bandwidth causes more intersymbol interference (ISI) due to signal spreading.
• Signal transitions become less sharp with decreased bandwidth.
• Bit errors are more likely to occur in bandwidth-limited channels.
